One thing which can often be a problem for casual environmentalists is the amount of trash you dump every week. We often just throw things which can’t be recycled into the kitchen trash can, followed by dumping the can’s not often totally full contents into our larger bin for curb-side pick up.
One potential solution to this is a trash can which compacts your trash in the kitchen, reducing the amount of wasted space in those trash bags you take out. The Reduce Compactor Can, announced by Base Brands, is said to be designed to automatically do this with a special compactor lid which “compacts twice the amount of trash in the average home” by pressing down on it. This simple idea can surly appeal to all of us who feel like we waste too many trash bags on a weekly basis and/or don’t like sticking our hands into these bags to push all of that icky stuff down.
