Portable solar chargers are a device which give portable gadget lovers a lot of additional freedom. You can truly be away from electrical outlets with this combination, relying instead upon the sun’s rays to provide energy to your device’s rechargeable internal battery. It would be nice as well if they charged attached devices quickly, such as the two to three estimated hours of the Soldius.
The Soldius is very lightweight and includes a built-in solar panel to collect the energy necessary for recharging electronics such as iPods and cell phones. Many of these devices require their own special connectors to work with products like the Soldius, so the manufacturer throws in a few of the more common ones to get you started. It isn’t the most attractive of accessories while lined up alongside your Apple iPhone, but if it gets the job done in giving you more device life, do looks really matter?
