Carbon Pulse Helps iPhone Users Be Greener

by Nino Marchetti, September 14th, 2009

One of the growing feel good things of the moment with iPhones is to use them to help improve various areas of your life, including your carbon footprint. Sevenchord Studios is one such outfit trying to capitalize on this, recently unveiling for around $3 its Carbon Pulse iPhone application.

Carbon Pulse, according to the developer, lets you do a variety of green-focused activities. These include the ability to “see exactly how their lifestyles are affecting the environment, pledge to take action to help reduce their impact, and track their progress making changes.” It will also let one consider their car’s carbon emissions, based upon the vehicle itself, acceleration, distance and time driven during each trip and miles per gallon. One can see how this compares to that of the average American driver. The application is available through the iTunes store.
