New Luxury Eco Yacht Floats in via Kingship
One category of products you don’t expect would have much in the way of green innovation is super-luxury yachts. That is exactly what a yachting company like Kingship is trying to change, however, unveiling its new 148-ft. Green Voyager motor yacht designed by Italian design firm Axis Group Yacht Design.
So what exactly makes the Green Voyager eco-friendly? A number of things apparently, according to Kingship. The Green Voyager is said to comply with the Green Star Plus Class level from the RINA, an Italian organization which wants to “minimise social impact to the marine environment.” Items such as heat reflecting glass and heat pump calorifiers will reportedly reduce power demand by an average of 20 percent. Three different propulsion offerings, including a fully hybrid one, will be available. And, to add to all of these, Kingship will make ”much use of sustainable material” when developing the rich interior of the yacht so you can, for example, enjoy your Russian caviar on a reclaimed wooden table.
