New Solar Panel Bags Debut in Germany

by Nino Marchetti, October 27th, 2009

Another solar-paneled bag is now available for purchase by consumers, though in this particular case you’ll probably have to order it from Germany to get it. It is called the Neuber Energy Sun-Bag, and it has installed on it solar panel technology from Konarka Technologies.

Konarka, which talked about the Neuber products, said the latter is using Konarka’s “Power Plastic” solar panels in its bags. These bags are said to be lightweight in nature, available in almost 40 colors and usable for solar charging a variety of devices, including mobile phones, digital cameras, iPods, MP3 players and more.

“There is great demand for a versatile, flexible solar bag giving users the ability to charge mobile devices on the move,” commented Alexander Valenzuela, vice president of European business development at Konarka, in a statement. “Thanks to Konarka’s light weight, flexible Power Plastic solar panels, Neuber’s bag is the lightest solar bag available in the market.”
