Mobile phone provider T-Mobile is attempting to show its green gizmo muscles with a special focused Web site highlighting its eco-friendly products. One of the most recent to turn up on this site is a fuel cell charger from Medis Technologies.
Medis said today its 24/7 Xtreme Portable Power Solution is “the world’s first personal fuel cell power system” and that it is based upon the company’s liquid fuel cell technology. It consists of a power pack which contains no toxic metals and provides instant power to a connected mobile phone. The power packs themselves, which much be purchased one at a time after they empty, are recyclable and can reportedly power an attached device “for many days when grid power is not available.”

“”The best part is that our electricity is generated without emitting elements harmful to the environment, such as carbon or carbon dioxide, and without any heavy metals,” said Medis CEO Jose Mejia in a statement. “There are no emissions and no measurable heat generated.”
