Mobile Phone Case Doubles as Solar Charger for Power

by Nino Marchetti, December 14th, 2009

Solar chargers are becoming much more common place these days, offering a nice selection of alternatives to those looking to power portable devices. One particular place a lot of these are coming from China, which accounts therefore for the CVBT-S12, a solar charger which doubles as a case for mobile products.

The CVBT-S12, imported by Chinavasion, sports a solar panel on the outer layer of the case. An internal lithium ion battery, connected to this charger, is fully charged by the sun in about nine hours. An option to charge the battery via USB, which takes a much shorter three hours, exists as well. Either way the case lets you charge practically anything that can be charged through USB, including mobile phones and MP3 players.
