A small German company focused on after-market conversions of Porsches recently began showcasing an electric makeover of the popular Cayenne SUV. It is called the Stormster and, it is said, it will be available in small numbers for for an unknown price sometime towards the end of 2010.
RUF Automobile GmbH said the eRUF Stormster will be driven by a Siemens electric motor with 270 kW (367 bhp). It will be capable of reaching 100 km/h in around 10 seconds, with the lithium ion accumulators being supplied by Li-Tec Battery GmbH. The range of this electric luxury vehicle on a single charge reportedly will around 120 miles at a time.
