Eco organizations and industry associations nationwide have banded together to declare Feb. 1-5th, 2010 “Clean Energy Week.” The objective? To move clean, renewable energy and green job creation to the top of the national agenda.
According to a release, highlighted events in Washington D.C. will include the Clean Energy Week Press Conference (which will be webcast live via streaming video), RETECH 2010, a renewable energy technology conference and exhibition, the NASEO State Energy Policy and Technology Outlook Conference, and the Business Advocacy Day for Jobs, Climate & New Energy Leadership. Sponsors and participants in the 2010 Clean Energy Week include both NGOs and clean energy industry associations such as 1SKY, 350.org, Alliance for Renewable Energy, Alliance to Save Energy, American Coalition for Ethanol, American Council On Renewable Energy, Apollo Alliance, Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO) , Association of Energy Engineers, Biomass Coordinating Council, Center for Resource Solutions, City of Aspen, Clean Currents, Clean Fuels Foundation, Clean Technology & Sustainable Industries Organization, Coalition of the Green Bank, and Earth Action, among others.
